How important is it really to stay away from an ‘Eviction Notice’?

 

Renting out your home or property can often lead to difficult circumstances. One of such scary incident is when the landlord issues an Eviction Notice to its tenant. The purpose of such a notice is not to humiliate or to make the tenant feel scared but to make them understand of the important issues which need to be addresses in a timely manner. These notices are found to be put up on the entrance door to the property. Notices such as these demand an urgent response, usually within 3 to 5 days and in some cases it may be 30 days or even longer up to 60 days depending on the landlord.

 

If there are issues persisting between the tenant and the landlord then it’s advisable to reach a point of resolution which can be beneficial to both ends. An Eviction Notice is usually detailed with the objective of the landlord clearly stated. The landlord can ask the tenant to pay the rent or can simply inform the tenant to leave the property and move out. If the tenant pays the rent within the stipulated notice period then the eviction is automatically put off and the landlord needs to look into getting another agreement and understanding in place with their tenant. If there are further issues which needs to be seriously looked at then the landlord is free to put up other charges if need be.

 

The idea of an Eviction Notice is to maintain decorum and peace while making people responsible for their actions. Tenants maintaining a sound and healthy relationship with their landlord is essential.
